Diablo IV 26.Oct.2024
Since my last update, I've done a lot of gaming (Diablo IV) and not much development.
If you like action role playing games (ARPG), then I can highly recommend Diablo IV, but just be warned, the game is for adults! (18+) 😈
Regarding my PIM system, I was interested in learning a new database, so I have decided to converted the backend to Postgres - quite a challenge and still not 100% finished.
Not only was the switch from T-SQL to PostreSQL a challenge, I also could find any really good, and free, Postgres development environments which made the switch a real challenge.
Also, I moved the project for my Android game, Teddy's Triangles, to Android Studio and completed an update for the game, however I have been unable to release it.
The game runs fine in the Android Studio test environment, however when I deploy it to the Play Store, it keeps getting rejected because it apparently crashes!?
I have no idea what is going on there...
Until next time ... I'll still be level'n my Sorceress 🤣
PIM 01.Jan.2023
Well that was a year to forget... ;)
I haven't touched a map editor for any game in years now, and I'm not sure if I ever will again - who
knows!?
So, what have I been doing?
Well family life takes up most of my time, but I still have quite a bit of free time to mess around on the
PC ...
besides playing Diablo 2: Resurrected (which I highly recommend for fans of the original),
I have been working on an experimental Product Information Management (PIM) system,
also know as a Master Data Management (MDM) system.
It has been quite fun testing some ideas in both Java and T-SQL, using a mixed setup of Apache Tomcat plus
Microsoft SQL Server.
Given enough time it would be awesome to be able to complete the application, making it truely production
ready.
Anyway, have a safe and healthy year ...

Nothing 10.Jan.2021
Hello...
I haven't posted an update in over a year now, so here is something.
Last year I worked on a small Java application, however it is nothing which will ever be released.
I just wanted to see what I could get done using Java Swing.
Gaming wise, I played a lot of Diablo 3 and recently Torchlight 3 and Last Oasis. Torchlight 3 is okay, but
not great. Last Oasis, even though it is currently in "early access", it was still fun to play.

Teddy's Update 27.Aug.2019
Since releasing Silent Seas for Xonotic, I've more or less taken a break from my personal projects
In my free time, when not spent with my family, I'm still playing Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls.
However, I've decided not to play the new season (18) and instead to work on an update for Teddy's
Triangles.
Cheers
Silent Seas 05.Jan.2018
Happy 2018! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable festive season...
I have now finished and released the map (Silent Seas) that I've been working on for Xonotic.
Here is the download link: Download.
Enjoy the simple things...
mvxdm05 28.Oct.2017
I'm still working on a new map for
Xonotic,
details and the link to the download can be found in the
Xonotic forums.
Just a reminder, Xonotic is an open source first person shooter game (free download and free to play),
there are builds for Linux, Windows and Mac.
We do not remember days, we remember moments.
Peet Pushy 21.Jan.2017
I hope everyone has had a good start to the new year.
I finally released my second Android game,
Peet
Pushy,
an action/puzzle game for smartphones & tablets, suitable for all ages - it is a free download, so grab
it while it's hot ;)

Xonotic 29.May.2016
One year later on, and my 2nd Android game is still not finished.
The status of the game is that it is in private beta now and I'm slowly putting the finishing touches to it.
Because family life takes up most of my time now, I think a realistic release would be in about another 3 or 4
months time.
Another reason why it has taken so long, is because I got side-tracked by a free open-source FPS game called Xonotic.
I saw that they were using one of my Q3a maps; Final Honors - though it was re-textured and the layout slightly
changed, and renamed (Final Rage), I still recognised it.
I liked what they had done, and wanted to release another map for the game, so I reworked one of my older maps,
Forgotten.
I released it around the start of this year with a new name, Aggressive Heights.
If you like FPS games, give Xonotic a go.

2nd Android Game 14.May.2015
I am now working on my 2nd Android game,
of which the first Alpha version was recently released (privately) and the feedback was positive - yay :)
A public release of the game is still a long way off though (several months at a guess) - either way, when it's
ready,
I'll post an update here...

Teddy's Triangles 25.Feb.2015
I recently finished and released my first Android App,
Teddy's
Triangles,
which can be downloaded for free from the Google Play store. Teddy's Triangles is a simple puzzle game for kids
(of all ages),
and is suitable for both smartphones and tablets.
If you give Teddy's Triangles a go, please rate it and if you like it, please share it with your friends :)

Android 23.Jan.2015
For about two months now, I've been actively working in my evenings on an Android game for mobile devices
(Smartphones/Tablets)
and it's almost complete now, I'll post the details here when it's ready.
As for the rest of last year, well I'll just say ... Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls.
People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one.
Teeworlds New & Old 23.Feb.2014
I just released two new
Teeworlds
maps and updates version of all the older ones.
Also, I've changed how all the download links are created,
so if you encounter a broken (or incorrect) link please let me know - thanks.

Graphic "Updates" 15.Feb.2014
In the latest version of Teeworlds (0.6.2) a few of the base tile sets have been changed,
which now means I need to update all the maps that use those tiles...
I've started correcting the maps, the first of which I've just uploaded (A Cold Duel).
I hope to have the rest update-to-date by next weekend.
There is a time to speak and a time to be silent
Infos 09.Feb.2014
I removed both the Links and About pages and have now combined them into a single Infos page.
I found that I have a few more, unreleased, Teeworlds maps on my HD.
I'm quite sure they're finished, but I'll double check them in the coming days and upload them when all is okay.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Google Drive 08.Feb.2014
All my downloads are now available again :)
I have uploaded everything to a public Google Drives folder - lots of free space :)
Also, if you discover an incorrect/broken link, please let me know.
Speaking of Google, I've started to look at Android programming - time permitting, I'd like to create an App or
two.
If I manage to complete anything, you'll be able to read about it here.

Hosting 06.Feb.2014
Another year gone by... and it was a great year - got married :)
Gaming wise, I played a lot of Diablo 3. I grinded my hardcore Wizardress to Paragon 100 and then stopped.
I also tried Torchlight 2, which is a good game, but it was missing that special something to keep me
hooked.
Now I'm playing Path of Exile, which is a very good game, and it's free 2 play! If you like Action RPG's
then it is really worth taking a look at!
Finally, my hosting provider informed me that my account is over the 10MB limit for free hosting - so, I've
deleted all my downloads!
I hope to have new links to all the files again very soon...

Jumper 09.Apr.2012
The Jumper page
has now been added
- almost finished now.
The two most common elements in the world are hydrogen and stupidity.
Quake 2 & Quake 3 Arena 07.Apr.2012
Another 2 pages, Quake
2
and
Quake 3 Arena,
have now been added.
A few more pages to come, then the site will finally be fully converted.
Whoever gossips to you will gossip about you.
DOOM & Quake 01.Apr.2012
I've added another 2 pages; DOOM
and
Quake.
I hope to add the others with the next update.
No jokes today...
Fixes 27.Mar.2012
I changed how the background image is added and resized, so it should now work with all the major browsers.
I've also corrected one invalid link and added another menu entry for more detailed information about the
available maps.
However, I've only converted the
Teeworlds
page thus far.
No matter how much you push the envelope, it's still stationary!
A New Look 25.Mar.2012
It's been a long time since I've last updated this website, so with this update I decided to do a little more
and give the whole site a work over, a dynamic working over -
Well I hope you like, what I hope is, an original design.
The site is not finished yet, I still need to create the various pages with the detailed description of each
download (maps, etc).
There are also some issues with the new HTML attributes that I'm using,
such as the background image which is not displayed correctly within IE.
Tolerance is a popular attitude of the unaffected - Lothar Schmidt.
Quake Live 18.Nov.2010
As you can see, I don't post much at all these days. Well the free time I had in front of the PC were spent
playing WarHammer Online.
My Sorceress is RR79, but she'll have to wait a while to hit 80, as I'm taking a break from the game -
I'm not sure I'll play again, as I'm not impressed with the direction they are moving the game in with the next
patch that due out soon.
If the feedback is good, then I might give it another go.
Because of my break from WAR, I've starting playing Quake Live again, which has got be interested in mapping
again! :)
I've been working on a map (Quake 3 Area) and I am hoping that I might be able to release it sometime early next
year.

WarHammer 14.Jul.2009
Another year has passed...
Last November I bought WarHammer Online and 8 months later, I'm still playing - really like the game!
Having said that it does have it issues, like server lag for example and I don't like the weapons/sets all that
much either,
but the general gameplay is great.
Last year I also got back into reading books, all of which I really liked.
The books were; The Odd Thomas series by Dean Koontz, "Odd Thomas", "Forever Odd", "Brother
Odd" & "Odd Hours".
I also read "The Husband" & "The Good Guy" also by Dean Koontz.
Another series I read was The Black Magician trilogy by Trudi Canavan, "The Novice", "The Magicians'
Guild" &
"The High Lord".
When I get the time I still create maps for Teeworlds.
You can find all my released maps in the Teeworlds section and the betas for maps still not released on
the Teeworlds forums.

Summer 22.Jun.2008
Since my last update, I've been back to OZ for a holiday, was very good to catch up with a lot of old friends :)
On the gaming side of life, I've release 3 new Teeworlds maps (yes, Teeworlds - for some legal reasons they had
to rename the game).
The maps that I released are, Thexder (dm), Fortis Caves (ctf) and Sand Tunnels (ctf). For more details and
screenshots see the
Teeworlds page.
As for the tile - Summer has finally arrived here in Switzerland, up until now the weather has pretty much
sucked,
but now we have blue skies and sun - just thought that I'd mention that ;)

Amazed 9.Feb.2008
I wasn't going to create another Teeworlds map before the next major release (0.4),
but then I found out that the next major release was still approximately a month away,
so I decided to make at least one new map and here it is:
mvtwdm04, called Amazed, a DM map best for 6+ players.
The person who strikes first admits that their ideas have given out.
Flatout 10.Jan.2008
I've finished and released another Teeworlds map,
my last for a little while as I've been told that the map format will change with the next major release (0.4),
and that maps made in 0.3.x will not run under the new version.
But fear not, with a little work they can be easily converted to the new format.
Anyway, here is the link to the new map:
mvtwdm03, called Flatout.

A Cold Duel 5.Jan.2008
Happy New Year!
My next Teeworlds map is available, mvtwdm02, called A Cold Duel.
This is a small map set in the winter theme, created for 1on1 tournament style games.
Look under the stuff section for screenshots.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
Teeworlds 29.Dec.2007
I've finished testing my first two Teeworlds maps, so here they are:

You can find more details and some screenshots in the Stuff section, under
Teeworlds.
Save time, see it my way.. ;)
